Company Origins
Yawal was founded in September 1990 and worked with aluminum from the very start, at a time when most Polish manufacturers did not yet treat the material as a primary focus.
The major technological breakthrough came in 1993: Yawal developed the first thermally broken aluminum profile system in Poland. This represented a genuine departure from the market at the time — thermally broken («warm») aluminum was still primarily a Western European proposition, while Polish manufacturers largely worked with non-thermal profiles for interior construction. In 1999, the company commissioned its own extrusion plant in Dąbrowa Górnicza. From that point on, Yawal controlled the entire production cycle — from molten metal to finished, coated profile. Manufacturing is concentrated in southern Poland, with primary facilities in Herby near Częstochowa and in Dąbrowa Górnicza.
Today, Yawal is a second-generation family business. The founder’s daughter has led the company since 2022. By its 25th anniversary, the company employed more than 1,200 people, served 3,300+ direct clients, and shipped to 24 countries. Its footprint has since expanded to more than 50 countries.
Manufacturing: Where the Advantage Lies
Most aluminum systems manufacturers either produce their own profile or develop systems on profile sourced from a third party. Yawal does both within a single corporate group, adding in-house anodizing and powder coating on top.
The production base includes four extrusion lines (the process of forcing material through a shaping die), one of the largest anodizing plants in Europe, a fully automated vertical powder-coating line, and a high-bay automated warehouse. A pre-assembly shop allows the company to ship not just raw profile but completed assemblies.
In practical terms, this delivers three advantages. First, pricing independence: Yawal isn’t building a third party’s profile margin into its costs. Second, surface-finish quality control: anodizing and powder coating are performed in-house, under Yawal’s own quality control, with guaranteed color consistency across production batches. Third, schedule flexibility: there’s no dependency on an external supplier.
Among the company’s quality credentials is an NCAGE code — an identification number assigned to companies registered as approved suppliers within NATO and allied-nation logistics systems. The code itself isn’t an award, but obtaining it requires verification of manufacturing data and compliance with supplier requirements — in other words, it’s formal confirmation of having passed a technical audit.
Yawal is the only company in Central and Eastern Europe holding a BCCA license not merely for a certified product, but for independently performing thermal calculations on windows and doors. Most competitors must commission these calculations from the institute itself or from accredited laboratories — Yawal performs them in-house.
Market Position
The European aluminum systems market is broadly divided into several tiers. German and Belgian manufacturers in the premium segment offer broad product lines, strong technical support, and pricing to match. Belarus-based Alutech is well known for its favorable price-to-performance ratio. Mid-tier Polish and Eastern European brands often operate locally or regionally and don’t always run a full production cycle in-house.
Yawal positions itself between the premium German-Belgian segment and more budget-oriented regional brands: system performance is on par with market leaders, while pricing sits closer to Eastern European levels. A good illustration is the flagship MoreView sliding system: a 27 mm central mullion versus 35–37 mm on comparable systems from German and Belgian competitors. An 8–10 mm difference on a frameless sliding door is a noticeable visual distinction.
Window Systems
Yawal’s window lineup is structured by profile depth and thermal performance, ranging from 62 to 102 mm. This isn’t simply a marketing tier structure — the differences are real structural ones.
TM 62HI — entry-level thermally broken aluminum, 62 mm depth. Good thermal insulation and enhanced security. Suited to commercial buildings and mid-market residential projects where reliability and a reasonable price point matter more than record-setting performance figures.
TM 77N — 77 mm depth, high thermal performance in an economical construction. A workhorse system for projects subject to modern European heat-loss requirements.
TM 77HI Vent — the same 77 mm depth, with an integrated ventilation valve. This addresses a genuine operational problem: tightly sealed windows without mechanical ventilation are prone to condensation buildup and degraded indoor air quality. The valve is built into the profile rather than retrofitted as a separate component after installation.
TM 82W HI — a system engineered for large formats, 82 mm depth. The larger profile cross-section provides greater load-bearing capacity, accommodating heavier glazing than the standard 62–77 mm profiles and suiting applications that call for expansive glazed surfaces without intermediate mullions.
TM 102HI — the flagship system, Passive House certified (the strict European standard for energy-efficient construction).
This is the system Yawal is betting on most heavily in the energy-efficient construction segment. Frame depth is 102 mm, with a frame thermal transmittance (Uf) starting at 0.45 W/(m²·K). In August 2023, the system received Passive House Institute certification in Germany — meaning compliance with the passive house standard is verified by an independent organization, not simply self-declared by the manufacturer.
A notable structural detail: the thermal break insert is set at an angle to the frame rather than perpendicular to it, as in most systems. This geometry distributes mechanical load more effectively across the profile cross-section, allowing the system to maintain high thermal performance even in heavier-duty configurations.
TM 102HI specifications: window Uw from 0.58 W/(m²·K), door Uw from 0.7 W/(m²·K); acoustic performance of 39–48 dB; water tightness rated AE1800 (1800 Pa); wind load resistance C5/B5 (2000 Pa); burglar resistance RC2; maximum door sash weight 250 kg; maximum window size 1400 × 3000 mm.
The system accommodates double- and triple-pane IGUs. Low-threshold configurations are available for balcony doors, along with corner constructions with no visible vertical mullions.
Sliding Systems
MoreView: When "Sliding Door" Is the Wrong Name for It
MoreView is Yawal’s best-known product, and calling it simply a «sliding door» doesn’t quite capture what it is. It’s a mobile-facade concept in which aluminum essentially disappears as a visible element.
The frame recesses fully into the floor, walls, and ceiling. The central mullion between panels measures just 27 mm. Glazing accounts for 98% of the opening’s area — the narrowest mullion width among European systems in comparative reviews, with the closest German and Belgian competitors at 35–37 mm.
The main technical differentiator versus standard lift-and-slide systems is span. Conventional systems are limited to roughly 6–6.5 meters. MoreView accommodates spans up to 18 meters in a single run — no longer a patio door, but a facade wall that can be opened entirely when needed.
Several engineering details set the system apart from competitors.
Track sections without field cutting. On most multi-track systems, adding a third or fourth track requires cutting the base rail to length on-site. MoreView’s track sections snap together without cutting, allowing any number of tracks to be added as needed. This simplifies installation and expands available configurations.
Roller replacement without panel removal. Rollers are a common wear point on frameless sliding systems, and replacing them typically requires removing the heavy panel itself. On MoreView, rollers can be extracted from the side of the frame without removing the panel.
Glass corner joint. A static mullion allows panel runs to meet at any angle through a glass corner element — with no aluminum profile at the corner point itself, producing a clean glass corner with no visible structural element.
Thermally broken threshold-free configuration. Many competing systems offer a threshold-free option, but it typically retains a thermal bridge where the system meets the floor. MoreView’s threshold-free version includes a thermal break specifically at that transition point — a detail that isn’t common in the category.
The motorized version handles panels up to 1,200 kg. Uw starts at 0.7 W/(m²·K). Acoustic performance reaches Rw 42 dB. Water tightness is rated Class 9A, with C4 wind load resistance.
The MoreView Class S variant takes the minimalist approach further: the track is recessed completely below floor level rather than resting on top of it, as in the base version. Only a 25 mm gap remains visible at the threshold — built for projects where any visible hardware detail feels like one detail too many.
DP 180 Primeview: For Those Who Want a Sliding Door, Not a Facade
If MoreView is an architectural statement system, DP 180 Primeview is the practical choice for those who want a strong-performing lift-and-slide door for a terrace or balcony opening.
The central mullion measures 47 mm — best in class among standard HST-type systems. Uw starts at 0.7 W/(m²·K), at passive-house performance levels. Acoustic performance reaches 47 dB. The system features a triple thermal-break line, and a threshold-free configuration with integrated linear drainage is available.
Panel weight capacity: up to 440 kg manually operated, up to 600 kg with motorized operation. Maximum dimensions are 3300 × 3300 mm.
Controls include smartphone, touch panel, and fingerprint scanner. The automation hardware is integrated into the system structure rather than added as a separate external unit.
DP 150T and DP Slide
More accessible sliding systems for terraces and balconies, along with suspended sliding configurations for wide exterior openings — for projects that don’t require the record-setting performance of MoreView or Primeview but call for a standard, reliable sliding construction.
Facade Systems
FA 50N and FA 50N HI — the core stick-built curtain wall system for commercial construction. Visible profile width is 50 mm, identical on both the exterior and interior faces. The system accommodates glazing infill from 6 to 64 mm thick, giving it a wide range of thermal and acoustic performance options. Acoustic performance reaches up to 53 dB. Water tightness is rated RE 2850. Burglar resistance ranges from RC2 to RC4. Wind load resistance is rated at 2400 Pa. This is the system certified by the Belgian institute BCCA.
A notable detail: the system was designed from the outset to accept photovoltaic modules in place of glazing infill within the same mounting profile — a ready-made technical solution for BIPV glazing that requires no modification to the load-bearing structure. The BA PV product line addresses this application within the same brand.
Fire-Rated Systems
This is a category that sets Yawal apart from most aluminum profile manufacturers. A full fire-rated system lineup is uncommon in the industry — most manufacturers either offer none at all, or have one or two products with no ventilation options.
TM 62EI — a system for fire-rated walls and doors, EI 30 classification. Used both indoors and on exterior applications. Visually, this construction is nearly indistinguishable from a standard window or door in the same profile series — there are no visible exterior indicators of the special protection. Fire resistance is achieved through two elements: a specialized multi-layer glass with a clear intumescent interlayer (which, when heated, foams into a dense, heat-insulating mass that prevents flame penetration through the glass), and thermally activated perimeter seals on the panel that expand under heat to close off gaps.
TM 75EI — walls with no visible vertical profiles. The newest addition to the lineup is an all-glass fire-rated wall system with no visible vertical mullions between glass panels, rated EI 30 and EI 60. From the outside, the partition reads as an ordinary glass wall with no visible signs of fire protection — which is, in fact, the point of the design, for projects where the client doesn’t want the barrier to read as an obviously technical element.
Yawal is the only supplier in Europe offering fire-rated systems with ventilation louvers developed under national technical assessments.

Steelview — steel aesthetics in aluminum.
A system for projects that want the visual effect of steel windows — slim, dark profiles with an industrial character — without the drawbacks of actual steel: rust, heavy weight, and ongoing maintenance. Frame and sash depth starts at 71 mm, with up to 15% more glazing area compared to standard systems.
BA PV — photovoltaic integration. A dedicated system for photovoltaic modules in an aluminum frame, addressing BIPV glazing without the need to engineer non-standard solutions for integrating solar panels into a facade.
Eclipse 33 — aluminum shutters. Horizontal louvered shutters available in two configurations: fixed-angle slats and an adjustable panel version. Used both for solar shading and as a standalone architectural facade element.
PBI 50N — non-thermal profiles for interior partitions. A solution for office spaces where a thermal break isn’t needed but lightweight aluminum-and-glass partitions are required. An economical option for interior zoning.
Hidden Leaf. A concealed-sash system. In the closed position, the frame is essentially invisible, suiting applications that call for a monolithic glazed appearance with no visible division between frame and glass.
